Call for Submissions

The CGSA is now accepting submissions from all Purdue University students for our second annual Purdue Graduate Student Conference on Communication Research. The conference will take place Saturday, March 26th, 2011 in Lily Hall, Room 3118 at Purdue University.

The conference committee is generally interested in papers about communication research but is particularly interested in research related to this year’s theme: Communication in Context: How We Impact Our Environments. Our theme highlights interdisciplinary research that demonstrates the influence of communication on theoretical as well as applied frameworks. We encourage submissions that explore the intersections between areas of study, research using mixed methodologies, and innovative collaborations.

The deadline for submissions is March 1st, 2011 at 11:59 pm EST. The PGSCCR is accepting both paper proposals and panel proposals. Please format your submissions in Microsoft Word and submit them via the conference website. Register with the Open Conference Systems page to submit your manuscript. Once your submission is received you will receive a note of confirmation. Because this is a blind review process, please ensure that your name and all identifying information only appears on the cover page. Acceptance notices will be sent out one month prior to the conference.
